Overview of Dewey Beach
Dewey Beach is the smallest of beach towns at the Delaware Beaches. It’s located adjacent to Rehoboth Beach, and just north of Bethany and Fenwick Island. While many know it as the party capital of Delaware, it’s actually quite family friendly. Don’t get us wrong, the nightlife is fantastic, and there’s plenty of tomfoolery about, but it’s quite a family friendly destination all things considered. It is a popular destination for summer vacationers and is known for its lively nightlife and beach activities. The town is situated on the Atlantic Ocean and is located south of the larger town of Rehoboth Beach. Some popular attractions in Dewey Beach include the Dewey Beach Life Saving Station Museum, the Dewey Beach Farmers Market, and the Dewey Beach Music Conference.

Dining in Dewey Beach Delaware
Gary’s
A local legend with deep roots in the community, Garys Dewey Beach Bar and Grill (and 3875 Brewing) is proudly branded as “Dewey’s Greatest Dive Bar”, or known as “Dewey’s Last True Beach Bar”. While it’s both a beach bar, and a dive bar with much character, they have plenty of healthy options, fantastic service, and a truly unique atmosphere. It’s one of our favorite places in Dewey, and I (Chris the guy writing this article) frequent Gary’s on a regular basis.
